Jewish Coaching Project
With the support of the UJA-Federation of New York, FJC piloted Jewish Coaching Project in the winter of 2015. In its first cohort, the project engaged 4 JCC day camps and provided Jewish consulting services to their teams of senior professionals for three years. A second cohort entered the project in 2016 and is currently on track to graduate with newly acquired tools for enhancing Jewish impact by 2019. The Jewish Coaching Project engages a team of coaches who together with FJC professionals have developed a Jewish consulting methodology that will be used for all Jewish day camps.
Jewish Coaching Project has:
- Developed a shared language of excellence and execution of experiential Jewish education at camp
- Developed a shared language of assessment to measure Jewish outcomes for campers and staff
- Concretized a methodology of change for and within the field.
- Developed a repository of best practices, models, and educational resources that can be disseminated and utilized broadly among diverse camps through the FJC Knowledge Center.
