Bernie Camp

Whoever you are, you're welcome here!

At Bernie Camp, we create a nurturing, enriching day camp experience where children can be fully themselves, build meaningful relationships, and discover the joy of belonging. Rooted in Jewish values, our campers grow through friendships, teamwork, sports, creative expression, challenges, and cultural experiences that inspire confidence, character, and connection.

Bernie Camp is more than a summer experience — it’s a community where lifelong memories are made, values are carried beyond the summer, and generations of campers return to share their love of camp with others. Join our Bernie Camp family for an unforgettable summer.

*We welcome transgender, intersex, non-binary and gender-non conforming campers

Meet The Director

Megan Vlaming

Megan Vlaming is the Bernie Camp Director. She has been with the camp since the summer of 2025, but comes to Bernie with over 20 years' experience in youth programming. She has worked for numerous non-profits, as well as the state and federal government, to support efforts in all out-of-school time programming. Her favorite thing about camp is the staff and the energy they bring to the 10-week program to make it exciting for all of the campers. In her free time, Megan likes to read, go to concerts, and spend time outdoors. She has been married for over 26 years, has one daughter, and has lived all over the world while following her husband when he served in the armed services.
