Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake is a value-driven Jewish overnight camp in the Hudson Valley, serving campers ages 7–13. Sprout Lake fosters a joyful, inclusive community where campers build lifelong friendships, deepen their Jewish identity, and grow as confident, compassionate leaders.
Position Overview:
The Archery Specialist leads safe, engaging archery programming for campers and oversees the daily operation of the archery range. This is a part-time role (~26 hours/week), making it a great opportunity for someone looking to be part of a camp community without a full-time commitment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead engaging, age-appropriate archery instruction for campers of varying skill levels
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe, well-managed range
• Set up, inspect, and maintain archery equipment and range facilities
• Teach proper technique, form, and range etiquette
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that builds campers’ confidence
• Collaborate with program staff to integrate archery into the broader camp experience
Dates:
• June 25 – August 12
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday
• 10:00am – 12:35pm
• 2:45pm – 5:20pm
Friday
• 9:30am – 12:00pm
• 1:55pm – 4:15pm
Salary & Perks:
• $25/hour (~$4,500 for the summer)
