B’nai B’rith Camp seeks a dynamic, experienced Assistant Director – Portland Area Day Camps to help in creating a vibrant day camp program and year-round youth and family engagement activities that fulfills the mission of BB Camp as a strong Jewish identity-building and community-building experience for campers, families, and staff. The position focuses on building upon programs BB Camp is currently implementing along with creating new opportunities for people to join our community.

The Assistant Director – Portland Area Day Camps is responsible for assisting in the implementation of Portland Area BB Day Camps and Year-Round youth and family engagement programs. This includes (but is not limited to) camper recruitment, program development and implementation, hiring and supervising of staff, building a vibrant Jewish community for campers and staff, program budget development and management, and planning for future improvement and growth.

The position will be joining the BB Day Camp team which, in recent years has significantly increased its’ number of program offerings and participants. This team is currently working to creatively expand in programmatic areas and increase the amount of kids we are engaging. It is an exciting time at BB Camp, as we are continuing to grow while we celebrate our 100th year anniversary and this position is an excellent opportunity to be part of that success.

The Assistant Director will report to the BB Day Camps & Youth Engagement Director and work closely and collaboratively with the organization’s staff members, campers, parents, volunteers, and alumni. Many of our year-round staff, our board members, and our volunteers are alumni of our program who are passionate about the future success of our summer camp programs and our emerging year-round programs. Compensation

37,000 - 40,000
