Primary responsibilities:
– Be adaptable and flexible – due to the fast-changing and rapidly changing environment caused by Covid-19 it is possible that camp’s needs could evolve.
– Supervise a group of campers ranging in age from 7-17 – including living with them in a cabin.
– Ensure that campers have a wonderful summer experience filled with joy and happiness.
– Keep campers safe physically and emotionally.
– Exhibit excellent judgment.
– Lead camp activities, programs, and curriculum.
– Serve as a “force for good” by demonstrating a positive attitude, by being a model for great judgment, by showing adaptability and flexibility through the changing needs in the camp environment.
– Detailed Responsibilities:
– Develop positive and appropriate relationships:
– Counselor responsibility involves listening, sharing, guiding, and advising campers and helping them to adjust to new situations, giving encouragement, and caring about each camper as an individual.

Supervise campers:
– You should know where each of your campers are at all times and ensure their complete physical and emotional safety.
– Counselors should never be alone with a camper.
– Participate in activities and lead by example:
– You will be expected to always model and encourage participation and acceptable behavior.
– Ensure health and hygiene of campers:
– Help campers maintain good personal hygiene.
– Ensure that the cabin is kept clean.
– Model healthy eating.
– All medical needs and emergencies should be conveyed immediately to your supervisor, no matter how small they might appear.
– Ensure your campers are prepared, on time, and present for their scheduled activities.
– Lead or support successful camp activities
– Inspire campers by leading or supporting daily activities.
– Develop camper skills and interests: Activity leaders will be responsible for developing a curriculum together with the activity supervisor.
– Plan and Run Evening and Special Programming
– Help plan programs and directly support programs planned by and for your campers
– Provide support to CBF’s other areas as needed




Preferred candidates:
At least one year of college or its equivalent
At least one year of experience working with children
Prior work experience

Minimum requirements:
High school graduate or its equivalent
Willing and able to comply with all covid-related safety measures
Must be able to participate in potentially strenuous physical activity
Must be able to attend camp dates in full from June 9 until July 17, 2022
