The Digital Media Specialist is a member of the Crane Lake Camp Digital Media department and general staff team. Our Digital Media department is responsible for telling camp’s stories through photo and video of all camp activities, programs, and special events, as well as sharing responsibility for a bunk of campers.

Your Digital Media responsibilities include:
• Implementation of camp’s digital media strategy in collaboration with the Digital Media Director, Full-Time Camp Directors, and other Media Team members. Responsibilities may include:
o Assistance in writing and editing of emails and newsletters to parents and stakeholders throughout the summer.
o Creation, solicitation, and editing of content for the camp blog which will include daily stories, photos, and video about activities and programs at camp.
o Management of blog and web posts throughout the summer; assist in efforts to ensure uniformity of design and content.
o Coordination of social media for the camp including but not limited to daily Facebook updates, Instagram posts, Snapchat stories, and Twitter tweets.
o Coordination and implementation of a daily camper-written online newsletter, “The Daily Bubble,” geared toward campers but posted on the web for parents.
o Graphic design in support of blog and newsletter content.
• Serving as a positive role model.
• Other duties as from time to time may be assigned.

Your Camp Counselor responsibilities include:
• The care, supervision, direction, and organization of campers.
• Active participation in all camp activities and leading those as assigned.
• The development and implementation of programs.
• Ensuring that campers maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety.
• Collaboration and communication with co-counselors and supervisors.
• Sharing in unit responsibility (night on duty “O.D.,” meetings, programming, evening rituals, etc.)
• Serving as a positive role model.
• Other duties as from time to time may be assigned.

• Experience working successfully in team-based settings
• Experience working with children
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Flexitivity – A positive attitude about being flexible in a dynamic workspace
