As the Senior Manager of Passport Operations for BBYO, you will be responsible for recruitment of teens and communities to travel with BBYO Passport. You will oversee all travel related operations for staff and participants, including: working with tour operators, training, and communicating with staff, ordering supplies, planning airport logistics, and coordinating travel insurance. The Senior Manager of Passport Operations will also work with the Director of March of the Living (MOTL) in overseeing teen and staff travel, logistics, staff supplies, and other support for the program.

 

The ideal candidate is extremely organized, solution- and detail- oriented, and quick to learn new technologies and platforms. This person has project management and supervision experience and enjoys being ‘one step ahead’ in anticipating needs and efficiencies. The role requires strong ability to make effective and timely decisions while also communicating effectively.  This position will report to the Senior Director, Passport.

What You will Get to Do as our Senior Manager of Passport Operations, Immersives:

 

-Promote BBYO Passport programs and recruit teens to for each trip.

-Recruit and steward synagogues, camps, and other community groups to travel to Israel with BBYO Passport through community presentations.

-Lead the development of programming and promotions of Passport travel at BBYO International events.

-Operate the logistics and coordinate programming for Passport Staff Training

-Assist participants and staff on flight and travel related logistics.

-Prepare staff and tour operators for, health and food allergy related notes.

-Oversee pre-trip experience including airport operations, hotel stay over, and staff supply bags.

-Coordinate inventory of AZA, BBG, and BBYO Movement swag and ritual items.

-Administer travel insurance process.

-Oversee the confirmation process for “clear to travel” requirements including balance, forms, insurance, flights, and medical/health clearance.

-Serve as a key member of the Immersives team, working every day to advance BBYO’s organizational goals.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

 

-Bachelor’s degree required

-4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience

-Experience working with international or domestic travel programs

-Experience with project management

-Ability to manage participant data, event revenue, expense, supply inventory and travel details accurately

-Sales experience

-Experience with global programs, content design, event logistics and operations, and budgeting

-Excellent database, public speaking, writing and communication skills

-Ability to travel on an as needed basis – including international travel – approximately 20% of the year, to support BBYO Passport’s business as well as attend core BBYO annual moments like Staff Conferences, International Convention, Summer Experiences, and Passport staff training.

 

Preferred, but not required, skills:

 

-Multilingual (ideally Spanish, Hebrew)

-Comfortable with technology, social media, and other creative tools

-Experienced traveler with extensive ability in navigating airlines, airports, and new cities
