Social Workers – Camp Chi (Lake Delton, WI)At Camp Chi
Camp Chi is a co-ed camp serving campers in 3rd-11th grade. Set on 600 acres near the Wisconsin Dells, Chi offers the best facilities and activities of a large camp, with a Village model that provides a small camp fee. We create an atmosphere that allows campers to build skills and boost self-esteem.
Camp Chi employs multiple Social Workers as part of our Community Care Team. Camp Chi’s social workers are responsible for overseeing the mental health and emotional wellbeing of its campers and staff. Social workers will meet regularly with senior staff to share information on cases of campers or staff needing specific attention. They will also help staff troubleshoot and problem-solve ways to work with campers experiencing challenging emotions or behaviors and address issues with group dynamics and conflict resolution.
Working within a team of other social workers and camp leadership, they observe, assess, recommend techniques, and provide training for camp to maintain the functioning of its cohesive community. Our Social workers act as a liaison between counselors, Village Leaders, parents, and Camp Leadership, ensuring that communication is seamless, and everyone involved is doing their part to set campers up to have a successful and fun summer.
