An essential part of the Leadership Team at camp, Unit Heads are responsible for a specific age group of campers—supervising the staff, supporting the campers, and managing daily operations.
Essential Duties:

Training, evaluation, and ongoing supervision of all counselors in the unit

Supervision, management, and care of campers in the unit, ensuring health & safety and supporting camper-related issues such as discipline, homesickness, illness, social issues

Work collaboratively with camp directors and leadership team to best support campers’ emotional and physical well-being, and communicating relevant camper needs to counselors prior to campers’ arrival

Administration of schedules, programming, and logistics for the unit, including camper electives, mail, trip assignments, and evening programs

Sharing in responsibilities of Leadership Team


21+ years old

Experience working with children ages 8-15

Excellent listening and communication skills

Self-motivated team player
