Leading With Our Values

Diversity

We are proud of the diversity within our field and have been intentional about including underrepresented voices when choosing presenters for this conference. We look forward to learning across denominations, geographic locations, gender identities, and ages.

Food

We are committed to supporting animal welfare and the environment, and we are proud to offer plant-based options for meals and snacks. Expanding our menu’s plant-based offerings demonstrates our commitment to Jewish and ethical values such as shmirat haguf (protecting our bodies), shmirat ha’adamah (protecting the earth), and tzaar baalei chayim (concern for the suffering of all living beings).

We have designed a menu to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. If you’d like to know more about specific ingredients, please visit the special dietary table near the corner of the ballroom.

Kosher catering services are provided by Gary Rubin of Petak’s Catering, under the strict supervision of the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County and the Orthodox Union.

Private Nursing Area

A room with a refrigerator is available for anyone wishing to pump or nurse in private. Please visit the registration desk to sign up for a time and pick up the key.

Restrooms

Leaders Assembly is inclusive of participants of all gender identities. Please use the restroom that best fits your identity. Additionally, all attendees are invited to use the all-gender restroom on the 4th floor, outside of the Laurel room.
