Program Highlights

Join camp advocates at the largest convening of the field of Jewish camp in North America for a dynamic program of speakers and workshops to share best practices, explore trends, and create opportunities for adaptive capacity. Sunday, we will address the growing complexity of our work; Monday we will commit to creating caring, welcoming, and inclusive camp communities; and on Tuesday, take on the challenge of teen engagement and empowering our future leaders.

Jewish Camp Pros Women* in Camp Networking Brunch

Kick off your Leaders Assembly experience by growing your network of colleagues and exploring how we can empower and support one another to advance gender equity in our field.  Open to all female-identifying, trans, cis and non-binary camp professionals, as well as male allies in support of their advancement!

Please note, this is a special pre-program brunch and will start at 11am on Sunday, before the start of the Leaders Assembly program. There is no additional cost to attend.

Lay Leader Summit

This year, Leaders Assembly will feature a conference within a conference especially for Jewish camp lay leaders! Open to all camp board members, the Lay Leader Track will focus on the big picture conversations, skill development, and field wide networking most relevant for lay volunteers.

One Happy Camper® Partner & Federation Professionals Track

As FJC’s flagship program, One Happy Camper (OHC) is at the forefront of our conference. This year, FJC has intentionally created a Leaders Assembly experience which is specifically designed to serve the interests of our OHC Partners & Federation professionals. Some content highlights include: family camp, affordability, digital marketing, customer service, and teen engagement. Throughout the conference there will also be designated OHC gatherings for OHC and Federation Partners  to connect and learn from one another. Lastly, we will be celebrating the 100,000th OHC grant with a reception and conference wide dinner!

Networking Groups

Looking for shared connections with others in the field?  Networking groups are organized (yet informal) meet-ups of attendees with something in common; gather with other Jews of Color, new parents, LGBTQ camp pros, clergy, Jews by choice, and a variety of other groups.

Mini Sessions

We are excited to highlight innovations and bright spots happening all across the field of Jewish camp! These bite-sized 30 minute sessions will showcase successful initiatives, programs, marketing and fundraising ideas and so much more – all for you to steal and bring home to your camp and community.

OHC 100,000 Celebration

In 2020, Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) will award its 100,000th One Happy Camper (OHC) Incentive Grant! Join us on Monday evening to celebrate this exciting milestone and the broader impact of OHC on the field of Jewish camp.

Go Big & Go Home

This year,  you’ll have a new opportunity to meet up with attendees from the same geographic region and strategize together to bring Leaders Assembly learnings back to your home community.
