Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) is proud to have provided seed funding for Ramah Service Corps and to have watched the impressive growth of this work over the years.

Summer camps are trusted and valued by the entire camp community – campers, counselors, seasonal and full-time professionals, families, and alumni alike. Building and sustaining that trust means providing an outstanding summer experience and, as you rightly point out, continuing community-building and engagement year-round. Read more.

Ramah has an outstanding brand which has been well-developed and nurtured over time.  Other camps, too, have deep and meaningful brands which, with FJC encouragement and support, are innovating in similar ways in their local communities.  Just a few examples among others include Tamarack Camps in Detroit, Camp Sabra in St. Louis, Herzl Camp in Minneapolis-St.Paul, and Young Judaea Sprout Lake Camp in New York.

FJC will continue to advocate for and support these strategic efforts to elevate and expand the field of Jewish camp.  Working together, we will strengthen and sustain the current summer camp experience and help to build a more vibrant, more engaged Jewish future.
