Foundation for Jewish Camp - Ta'amod In-Person Seminar Registration Form

Denver, CO
Tuesday, March 18th through Thursday, March 20th, 2025

--------------------

Foundation for Jewish Camp is excited to bring the Ta’amod program to Denver in March 2025 with support from the Rose Community Foundation! This in-person program for day and overnight camp professionals will run over the course of three days (Tuesday, March 18th – Thursday, March 20th) at the Staenberg-Loup JCC in Denver, CO.

This registration form will serve as your RSVP for the program. Please fill out this form once per attendee.

The deadline to register is Friday, February 28th by 2PM MST.

ABOUT TA'AMOD & THE PROGRAM:

About Ta’amod:

The Ta’amod curriculum focuses on transforming Jewish life by equipping institutions and individuals with the resources they need to build healthy, safe, and equitable workplaces and communal spaces. The curriculum spends a significant amount of time on psychological safety in the workplace. Ta’amod’s vision is a Jewish communal landscape steeped in psychological safety, equity, and accountability that is rooted in kavod habriyot – the dignity of all beings.

Our time together will focus on diving into these topics and how they relate directly to staff satisfaction, safety, and retention (for both domestic and international summer staff).

For this seminar, our Ta’amod facilitators will be Dr. Andrea Jacobs and Nicole Nevarez. You can learn more about them here.

----

After the program, there will be a brief feedback form for you to fill out. This helps FJC improve future programs as well as collect information about the impact of the program to report to our funder.

DATES & TIMES:

Please save the following dates and approximate times:

  • Tuesday, March 18th noon – 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday, March 19th 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, March 20th 8:00 AM – noon

Please note that participants must attend all 3 days of programming.

All programming is currently scheduled to be at the Staenberg-Loup JCC in Denver (350 S. Dahlia Street, Denver, CO 80246).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
  • This program is for both day and overnight camp professionals and is open to camp professionals from all camps in FJC’s network.
  • If you work for a non-Colorado camp, you are welcome to register now, though please note that priority will be given to Colorado camps.
  • At least 2 people per camp are encouraged to attend, though more are welcome. One of the attendees from each camp should be the Camp Director.
  • Attendees may be either seasonal or year-round camp professionals (either full-time or part-time). Seasonal employees should be members of your 2025 summer leadership team (e.g. Unit Heads, Specialty Area Heads, etc.) who directly supervise or oversee summer staff.
  • This program is perfect for summer leadership and anyone who supervises or oversees summer staff. It may also be worthwhile for your camp or agency’s Hiring Manager or HR professional.

In order to register for and attend this program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

    • Flights
    • Ground transportation (i.e. Ubers, rental cars, etc.)
    • Mileage/gas for those using their own cars

For Attendees from Non-Colorado Camps or Attendees who reside within the Denver metro area:

  • If you would like to stay at the same hotel as FJC’s group reservation, you are welcome to do so, but your camp is responsible for your room costs. Please Note: The hotel and room rate are TBA. * For those staying at the hotel, you can expect to hear from FJC in late February or early March to confirm hotel details. Please note that the hotel will be located near the Denver JCC.

TRAVEL LOGISTICS:

Those who are flying in for the Seminar should plan to arrive the morning of Tuesday, March 18th, and depart in the late afternoon or evening on Thursday, March 20th. The Denver JCC is approximately 23 miles from Denver International Airport (DEN) (a 35 – 45 minute drive depending on traffic). Given that, we would recommend booking a flight that lands at DEN no later than 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 18th, and a flight that departs from DEN no earlier than 2:15 PM on Thursday, March 20th.

Please make your travel arrangements no later than Wednesday, March 5th.

In early March, FJC will reach out to coordinate final logistics, including collecting your flight information to help you arrange ride-sharing to/from the hotel or JCC at the beginning and end of the program.
