Spirit of the Game: Making Sports & Active Moments More Accessible and Inclusive

Description

Everyone at camp deserves the same opportunities to try new things, develop skills, and build confidence. Yet, when it comes to sports and active programs, campers with disabilities are sometimes pushed to the sideline. How can we ensure that these moments — from Ultimate Frisbee to Gaga, Maccabiah to cabin time —  are inclusive of all members of our community? In this session, participants will workshop how sports, active programs, and other traditional camp activities can be adapted for the benefit of every camper.  -By Mara Berde & Ariella Rosen
