Inclusion Counselor

Camp Ramah in Wisconsin is looking to hire responsible, motivated, engaging staff members who can spend 9 weeks at camp as a disability inclusion counselor. Join us in fostering a positive environment that encourages self-confidence, social development, and ensuring every camper has a fun camp experience.

Camp Ramah Wisconsin provides 575+ children and 300+ adults with transformative experiences of vibrant Jewish life seamlessly blended with the joy of summer camp. We serve Jewish campers throughout the Midwest and beyond with diverse backgrounds and needs who come together to make friends, have fun, develop skills, and enhance their Judaism.

Depending on camper support needs, the inclusion counselors will work with an individual camper or group of campers, allowing them to enjoy the magic of camp. Our inclusion support program is supervised by a disability inclusion specialist and is part of our overall camper wellness team.

We are looking for full summer staff (June 9-August 8) and have a few openings for one month positions.

Full Summer Compensation
$1600-2800 (based on grade and experience)

Responsibilities
-Live in a cabin with 12-15 campers, including campers with disabilities
-Collaborate with cabin and age group staff
-Engage and build relationships with all campers; implement specific accommodations for campers in cabin or age group; facilitate social connections between campers; participate in activities with campers
-Attend staff meetings and weekly professional development sessions
-Report to both unit head and Shiluv (inclusion) Program Coordinator
