Tranquillity Camp

Tranquillity Camp

Tranquillity Camp has been a summer home for children ages 7 to 16 since 1919. Lifelong friendships develop while children enjoy fun in the sun all summer long on our 1,200 acre sleepaway camp. Tranquillity invites campers to participate in athletics, theater, nature, art and other summertime adventures in a safe and nurturing environment.

Over the years, Tranquillity has grown from its simple roots as a single farmhouse located on several acres of land, to an expansive campus with fully-modernized houses, a beautiful dining room, two swimming pools, a large multi-purpose Sports Center, a modern theater and an air-conditioned infirmary.

The majority of our children come from the tri-state area and as far away as Florida, Georgia and California. Relationships made at Tranquillity become lifelong friendships as evidenced by our robust Alumni organization.

Herzl Camp

Herzl Camp

Join us on the shores of Devils Lake! Campers who call Herzl ‘home’ enjoy a variety of activities, amenities, and beautiful natural resources.

We make connections and nurture our Herzl family.

We are pluralistic in our Judaism; we embrace the people, the land and the story of Israel.

We provide tools, training and the opportunity to lead; transforming campers and staff into tomorrow’s passionate Jewish leaders.

We celebrate individuality and inclusion; encouraging everyone to be part of something bigger than themselves.

We embrace ongoing and inter-generational shared experiences ‘from the ridiculous to the sublime’ to foster lasting friendships, build identity, community and a sense of belonging throughout our lives.

Bauercrest offers a safe, enjoyable and meaningful camping experience for every camper. Our goal is to build a boy’s identity and self-esteem through the commonly held values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Acceptance and Resilience (our S.T.A.R. principles).

Camp Rodef Shalom – Falls Church, VA

Camp Rodef Shalom – Falls Church, VA

Camp Rodef Shalom fosters friendships, relationships, and community by providing fun and engaging experiences in a safe environment. By living Jewish values, we give our families opportunities to strengthen our Jewish connections.

Our 5-week main session provides campers and staff the time to build long-lasting relationships that carry on through their years as part of the community at Temple Rodef Shalom.

Our one week Bonus Week is an optional week that can be added to Main Session or attended on its own.

*We welcome transgender, intersex, non-binary and gender-non conforming campers

Camp Kinderland

Camp Kinderland

Our campers play sports, swim and hike, gain new experiences in arts, drama, music, dance, nature and camping. But at Kinderland they also encounter ideals of social justice and peace. They don’t hesitate to sing a Yiddish labor song, paint a mural of Harriet Tubman or write a skit about putting an end to war—that’s just what you do at Camp Kinderland, where it is okay to think, to care, to question and to act. There is nothing quite like it; and it works because the values of community and culture, of justice and righteousness, are inextricably integrated with the friendship, the joy, the beauty, the sheer fun and adventure, of life at sleepaway camp.

*We welcome transgender, intersex, non-binary and gender-non conforming campers
