Camp Avoda

The all-boys camp that provides a summer of fun, builds character and identity, and friendships that last a lifetime!

For nearly 100 years, Camp Avoda has been providing a fun, safe, and enriching overnight camping experience for Jewish boys ages 8 to 15. Located in Middleboro, MA, just 45 minutes south of Boston, Camp Avoda offers a large, multi-purpose athletic field; a rich waterfront program, arts and crafts; diverse evening activities; and more. Most important, we provide Avodians with two invaluable takeaways: leadership skills and lifelong friendships.

We have special events all summer, and the second session concludes with a six-day ‘Color War’ where Blue and White teams compete in a wide range of events, from sports to swimming to a songfest. We offer Friday night and Saturday morning Shabbat services, as well as delicious kosher meals.

Meet The Director

Ken Shifman

This is my 24th year at Avoda! I aim to build on our amazing tradition, balanced program, and spirit. We foster lifelong friendships and unforgettable summers. I have made those lifelong friends - my social life, brothers, and support. Camp Avoda 'stays with you' everywhere you go. I hope that your boys have the same transformative experience.
