URJ Eisner Camp harnesses the transformative power of Jewish camping to help young people strengthen their self-esteem, develop their sense of Jewish identity, and deepen their connections to and responsibility for the communities around them.

Grounded in Jewish values, the Eisner Camp community is immersed in a wide range of innovative educational pursuits and unique spiritual experiences that find expression through athletics, aquatics, the arts, and outdoor adventure programs.

Meet The Director
James Gelsey
James joined the Eisner Camp full-time staff in 2011 as Associate Director, becoming Director of Operations in 2014 and Director at the start of 2019. Prior to his time at Eisner, James was a children's book author, Jewish educator, and theater professional.
