Camp Givah
Camp Givah is more than just a summer camp
Camp Givah is a unique Jewish day camp nestled in the scenic outdoors, offering children a warm, energetic inclusive, and spirited summer experience. Rooted in Jewish values and traditions, our program combines the joy of classic camp activities—like sports, swimming, nature, cooking, dancing, and arts—with meaningful cultural and educational moments. Through Shabbat celebrations, Hebrew exposure, and community-building experiences, campers form lasting friendships and deep connections to their Jewish identity.
Led by passionate staff and guided by a commitment to fun, safety, and learning, Camp Givah is a place where every child can grow, explore, and thrive. For over 60 years, we’ve been proud to welcome generations of campers into the Givah family—a place where summer memories are made and community begins.
*We welcome transgender, intersex, non-binary and gender-non conforming campers

Meet The Director
Lakota Lustig
Lakota is a lifelong member of the Albany Jewish community and spent many summers at Camp Givah, having been brought up at Temple Israel. He knows that what makes Givah so special is the Ruach, sense of community, and Jewish themes that run through all of the fun in the sun. Lakota also brings strong organizational and logistical experience earned through working in management positions, as well as experience as a Hebrew school teacher in the Albany community. Lakota is currently working on his Bachelors in Education from Arizona State University. Lakota is an avid Torah scholar and guitarist and finds joy in reading and playing with his two year old pup, Eden. Lakota Lustig is excited to bring this multifaceted skill set to create memorable experiences at Camp Givah as part of the team with Herut Admasu, True Haynes, and the entire 2025 Machaneh Givah staff.
