Camp Wise has specialized in creating memorable experiences for children entering grades 2-12 for over 115 summers. At Camp Wise in Chardon, Ohio, campers experience the adventure of climbing to new heights on our new ropes course, the thrill of jet skiing on our lake, the excitement of learning to ride a horse, and so much more while developing their self-confidence and Jewish identity. The friendships formed in the safe and healthy environment of Camp Wise last a lifetime.

Meet The Director

Rabbi Dan Utley

Rabbi Dan Utley has served Camp Wise since April of 2022 and is a Cleveland native with over 15 years of experience leading Jewish educational and immersive programs. Prior to Camp Wise, Rabbi Dan was associate rabbi at Temple Emanu-El of Dallas, TX. He grew up attending URJ's Goldman Union Camp and served as a staff and leadership team member at URJ Greene Family Camp. Rabbi Dan loves to bring music, cheers, costumes, and silly surprises to the Camp Wise community!
