Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade. Sprout Brooklyn is a place where children from a wide spectrum of backgrounds join together to create a joyful, diverse community built on Jewish values, a connection to Israel and the Hebrew language. Programming includes: swim instruction, athletics, robotics, art, cooking, performing arts, sensory explorations and more!
No Hebrew experience is necessary to be part of the Sprout Brooklyn community.

Meet The Director
Alana Tilman
Alana holds an MA in Jewish Experiential Education from the Davidson School at the Jewish Theological Seminary and is a graduate of Brandeis University. She has spent many years as a program director, educator, and community builder in a variety of Jewish communal settings and is proud to have been a member of the first cohort of the UJA Ruskay Institute for Jewish Professional Leadership. Originally from Philadelphia, Alana now lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
As a lifelong ‘camp person’, she has spent nearly every summer of her life attending Jewish Camp as camper, counselor, and senior leader; including 7 years full-time within the Ramah Camping Movement in both New York and Northern California, where she oversaw program development, camper recruitment, staff hiring & training, and year-round community engagement. Most recently, Alana worked on Special Events at Hazon, the Jewish Lab for Sustainability.
