Camp Davis

Camp Davis

Getting Kids Dirty Since 1930!

Camp Davis has been a summer tradition in Nashville for over 90 years. Each generation that comes through the camp has been exposed to our Jewish values. These include…

  1. Holy Community (Kehila Kedosha)
  2. Fun (Kef)
  3. Love (Ahava)
  4. Nature (Teva)
  5. Growth (Tz’micha)
  6. Righteousness (Tzadik)

These Jewish values guide everything we do at camp. From learning a new activity to teaching others their favorite game, Camp Davis is full of impactful experiences that will shape camper’s bright futures.

Akiba Resident Camp

Akiba Resident Camp

Camp Akiba Resident Camp was founded in 1965 and is the Resident Camp of Temple Akiba in Culver City. Although we do not own a camp site, we have made many camps in Southern California our home. We currently hold our Resident Camp at Indian Hills Camp in San Diego County, with bus transportation from Culver City.

We pride ourselves on our creative programming, our inclusivity, and on our ability to foster very close relationships over our short 2 week program. Almost all of our counselors went to Camp Akiba and were trained within our hands-on 2 year counselor-in-training program.

At Camp Akiba, we love to exhibit spirit through dance, song and games. Our campers also get the chance to experience Reform Judaism in their own way through our creative Shabbat services.

*We welcome transgender, intersex, non-binary and gender-non conforming campers

Camp Emunah Bnos Yaakov Yehuda

Camp Emunah Bnos Yaakov Yehuda

Camp Emunah was established in 1953, with a special blessing from our Rebbe to Rabbi Yaakov Yehuda OB”M, along with his wife Rebbitzen Chave Hecht who has been serving as its director since its inception. Rabbi JJ Hecht was the first to open a girl’s overnight camp in the world of Lubavitch. The camp has been conducted on the teachings and guidance of the Rebbe since it was founded. The same grounds are still being used today and constantly being updated to fit the needs of its staff and campers. Camp Emunah quickly became one of the largest and greatest of its kind. They accepted tens of thousands of Jewish girls from all different Jewish backgrounds. They established an open door policy where everyone feels accepted.
