Tools for Crisis Management

Camp is a place where crises of all shapes and sizes show up. Preparing staff for camp protocols, specific to the types of crises, is an imperative and common element of staff training. One piece that is hard to predict is how a staff member will respond emotionally during a crisis. This training will offer the opportunity for participants to reflect on previous experience of managing crisis and how they reacted, along with learning about types of strategies they can use to respond to crises and while staying as calm and collected as possible in a crisis.
