Camp Ramah in Northern California is an innovative Jewish summer camp located along the beautiful shores of Monterey Bay, California. At URJ Camp Newman’s summer camp, we’re building a foundation for a vibrant Jewish life. Led by experienced staff and Jewish professionals, we offer a plethora of traditional and specialty summer sessions from 3 days to 8 weeks at our home amongst the redwood trees in the hills of Santa Rosa, CA. Campers currently in 2nd-11th grades create community within their cabins, as a part of an age-group cohort and together with the full camp community. Days at camp include individual choice from an abundant mix of activities like archery, circus arts, martial arts, splashing in the pool and flying down the waterslide, tons of sports like pickleball, basketball, soccer and ultimate frisbee, fine and performing arts, all within our joyful, Jewish community. Shabbat is the highlight of our week complete with music, Israeli dancing, delicious food and stunning sunsets. At camp, we create the world as we want it to be – more inclusive, more kind, more joyful – and we learn what it takes to be a mensch and go out into the world to make it a better place. We build friendships that last a lifetime and have a TON of fun! And all staff are guided by a philosophy of C.A.R.E.: Community, Acceptance, Role modeling, and Each & Every camper’s uniqueness, creating a space of true belonging.

At Ramah, we provide children who are entering Pre-K through 9th grade with the best camping experience – in a setting of love, friendship, wonder and discovery, a setting where Judaism is integral to daily activities.

Your child’s well-being is our most important consideration. We make sure that each camper is safe, happy and secure and that summer will be a time of growth, excitement, learning and fun!

In addition to our general program, Ramah is proud to offer Shaar, a Hebrew Immersion program. Shaar campers engage in the full camp schedule – entirely in Hebrew. All aspects of the day are conducted solely in Hebrew, giving children an opportunity to gain proficiency as they participate in the myriad of activities that make camp magical.

At Camp Shai, we strive to create a community that welcomes diversity. Campers enjoy the use of the Tucson J’s beautiful, 110,000-square-foot facility, including the indoor PlaySpace, kosher demonstration kitchen, full-sized gym, youth locker rooms, pool, Splash Park, outdoor fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, computer lab, art studio, dance room, youth lounge, and more! Campers experience structured activities, learn new skills, make new friends, and explore their interests in a warm, friendly, safe environment. Create Your Own Adventure! The Jewish Community Center provides day camps for boys and girls ages 2-13 years. Enrollment begins February 14. Exciting activities include swimming, sports, crafts, drama, archery, swim lessons, field trips and special events. Specialty camps: Sports, Theatre, Art, Dance, Culinary, LEGO, STEM and Triathlon. Open to everyone, youth don’t have to be members to attend. Weekly sessions June 1 – July 31, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Extended care available.  www.JcampKC.org.
