Camp JCC of Youngstown
It is the purpose of Camp JCC to provide a warm and caring atmosphere throughout the summer. We promote a child-centered environment where each camper is viewed as unique, important, and special.
Camp relieves the pressures that may exist in an academic setting and allows campers to flourish through maximizing their strengths and minimizing their weaknesses. We exist to provide an opportunity for fun, a place to repeat experiences, to try new activities, to develop new skills, and to bond with old friends while creating new relationships in a safe and healthy atmosphere.

Summer J-Camp at Temple Shalom
Summer J-Camp – Day Camp
We provide a diverse and welcoming environment for all our campers each week. Children enjoy a wide variety of activities that support their growth into well-rounded, lifelong learners. In a healthy, creative, and active environment of Judaic and secular values, J-Camp is built on four pillars of JAMS: Judaism, Arts, Movement (athletics), and STEM.
Using an experiential learning model, campers delve into JAMS exploring teambuilding, swim lessons, sports, community, the arts, science, and many more activities! The daily schedule will rotate through every program activity we offer, as we strive to focus on the specific interests of each camper.
Not only do we offer programs on site, but we have weekly field trips and specials guests! In the past, field trips included the zoo, local parks, museums and more. Special guests have included animal folks, cultural performers, storytellers and more. Field trips and special guests will be confirmed closer to the start of camp.
