Intersection of Disabilities & Mental Health at Camp
Join this community care workshop designed for camp leadership – inclusion coordinators, camper care teams, directors, and head staff! This session will be facilitated by Dr. Samantha Fuld, DSW, LCSW-C, a former camp professional and current clinical assistant professor at University of Maryland School of Social Work. She helped launch FJC’s first mental health initiatives including adapting evidence-based trainings for camp settings. Her professional focus has been on the impact of trauma and stigma on mental health in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, understanding ableism in social work education and practice, and promoting a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming lens to assessment and clinical service provision.
Powered by FJC’s Yashar and Yedid Nefesh initiatives.
