Youth Mental Health First Aid: Online, Subsidized Certification

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to support and teach camp professionals and seasonal staff who work with adolescents (age 12-18) to better understand and support an individual experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis. You will be introduced to common mental health challenges for youth, review typical adolescent development, and learn a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Certification lasts 3 years!
Eligibility & Expectations
Certification is only available to individuals in the US. (While those outside the US can join, they can’t get the certification unfortunately – please contact beth.lipschutz@jewishfederations.org.)
Register to join us for a 2-hour, self-paced online class, and then a 5-hour instructor-led synchronous zoom training (12-5 pm ET), with 7 available date options between May 7 – June 9.
