Sponsor: Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix
Summary
The Center for Jewish Philanthropy is pleased to provide limited, need-based scholarships for Jewish children living in Maricopa County to attend Jewish summer camps in North America. Funding priority is given to overnight, immersive experiences.
Eligible campers must be entering grades K-12 in Fall 2023 and enrolled in a program hosted by a Jewish, nonprofit organization. Programs in Israel – even those sponsored by camps – are not eligible for this funding. Families must provide financial documentation of need to the CJP and typically, families with incomes over $250,000 will not be considered for this funding. Funding will be sent to the summer camp once the child has arrived, and the camp has confirmed attendance.
Campership grants are made possible by the generosity of the Molly Blank Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation, endowment funds established at the Jewish Community Foundation by Jack Bromfield and by the families of Labe Eric Targovnik, Kenneth Maltenfort, Jean and Harold Grossman, Gloria and Sidney Kasper, and by other generous donors to the Center for Jewish Philanthropy.
