Camp Solelim

Camp Solelim is a sleepover camp designed exclusively for fourteen and fifteen year olds. For over 50 summers, Jewish teens have been coming to Solelim to have the time of their lives through exceptional programming and sports, arts, waterfront and outdoor activities. Our dedicated staff provide campers with opportunities to celebrate what makes them unique and to explore what it means to be part of a community. At Solelim, campers learn to be their best selves, try new things, increase their independence and grow as leaders. Andrew Hansen Mandell JCC Summer Camps (Camp J Maitland)

At Camp J, your camper will get to experience summer-time favorites, like sports, art, swim instruction, weekly field trips, and a whole lot more, led by our highly trained and selectively chosen staff. We welcome campers from all backgrounds, and emphasize Jewish values, like tzedekah (giving back), kehillah (community), and givun (diversity). We pick one value as our theme each summer, weaving it into our curriculum, and give campers the opportunity to practice it. Our campers also get to experience Israeli culture firsthand with our “oshlichim,” young emissaries from Israel, who teach about Israel using a wide variety of activities which celebrate Jewish heritage.

Teen Camp (NJY Camps)

Teen Camp (NJY Camps)

Teen camp or TAC, is a place for campers to thrive while receiving a clear structure and set of boundaries but enough freedom and flexibility to explore new interests and have the opportunity to step up and take on positions of responsibility.

We challenge our TAC campers to think about new ideas, to put themselves outside of their comfort zone and to gain an appreciation for helping and benefiting others. Campers leave completely inspired by the opportunities they have explored and the new ideas they have been exposed to.

Our camp’s focus is on teen leadership, service learning, and international teen tour experiences.
