Assistant Director of Programming

Description
The Assistant Director of Programming is responsible for building a vibrant and inclusive Jewish
community through program innovation, development, and implementation. Duties include
camper recruitment, hiring and supervising BB Camp seasonal programming staff, scheduling and
stewarding the day-to-day overnight camp program, budget development and management, and
planning for improvements and growth. The Assistant Director of Programming is also responsible
for planning and executing year-round engagement programming and events, including Family
Camps, retreats, and other youth, teen, and family events.
Compensation
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Post-graduate work in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Jewish camp leadership or related youth programming.
• Proven success in staff supervision, program development, and operations management.
• Strong understanding of Jewish traditions and values; comfort creating inclusive Jewish
programming.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing budgets and financial planning.
• Passion for informal education, youth development, and community-building.
• Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate effectively with several different
stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the ability to manage simultaneous tasks, work under time constraints, and work
long hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with Google applications; experience with
CampMinder preferred.
