Camp Ramah in the Berkshires is an established, growing and widely-respected non-profit organization based in Bergen County, NJ that operates a residential summer camp in Wingdale, NY.

Camp Ramah in the Berkshires is seeking a full time office manager to support the year-round team with managing our Teaneck (off-season) and Wingdale (summer) offices. This position will report to the Director of Operations with some additional oversight by the Associate Director. This role will have the unique opportunity to assist, to manage, and to learn about all aspects of Camp and the many programs we provide. In addition to managing the day-to-day needs of the Camp offices, the role will have responsibility for administrative management of camp operational tasks including transportation, billing, and special days at camp.

Responsibilities:
Administrative Support (examples):
Responsible for managing Camp offices
Support senior leadership with administrative projects
Vendor management
Manage camper billing process
Involved in pieces of payables process
Receive, distribute all office mail
Coordinate all office travel
Support institutional advancement department
Provide event support prior to, and at, all of our annual events
Assist the programming office with trip and special activity research
Proactively follow up on vendor bills
Liaise with vendors such as phones, building, cleaners, etc.
Assist with busing, transportation, luggage for arrival and departure

Salary and Benefits:

This role is located in Teaneck, NJ during the off season and Wingdale, NY during the summer. This is a hybrid work model during the off season.

Overview: Camp Tel Yehudah is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Camp Administrator. The Camp Administrator will oversee various administrative aspects related to campers, families, finances, communications, and data organization. This position requires relocation to Barryville, NY, for approximately three months each summer to manage the camp office as the Office Manager while also maintaining year-round duties.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for parents and organizations, providing support for enrollment, recruitment, financial inquiries, and dissemination of important information. Manage the main email inbox and main phone line for customer service and other communication.

Data Management: Maintain organized systems for managing data on new camper leads, prospective families, alumni, staff, and vendors. Provide administrative support for recruitment and marketing efforts.

Grant Reporting: Track grants and prepare necessary reports and data.

Financial Administration: Process invoices, manage accounts receivable, process tuition and donation checks, create payment plans, and administer the tuition assistance processes.

Senior Management Support: Serve as a member of the senior management team, contributing to major decisions regarding enrollment, organizational structure, communication, and system management. Along with the entire team, participate in all aspects of recruitment and fundraising.

Enrollment Statistics: Create and maintain enrollment statistics to share with key stakeholders.

Summer Office Management: Oversee the summer office in Barryville, including communication with families and organizations, coordination of transportation arrangements, management of medical and legal forms, financial administration and oversight, and supervision of office support staff.

Collaboration with Young Judaea Global: Work with the Office Manager of Young Judaea Global as it relates to the administration of the shared office and associated tasks.

Office and SWAG Inventory Management: Keep track of and order office and SWAG inventory to ensure adequate supplies for camp operations.

Ramah Berkshires is seeking a responsible, dynamic, experienced, organized, energetic, and camp-loving person for a Rosh Edah (Unit Leader) Position. A Rosh Edah oversees the day-to-day camp experience for an Edah (Grade) of up to 65 Campers. Through organization, staff supervision & management, a Rosh Edah crafts the summer experience for Campers.

2024 Dates:
Senior Staff Training: June 10-16
General Staff Training: June 16-25
Camp Season: June 26 – August 16

Salary: $3200-$5500, depending on experience. Additional compensation available for pre-summer work. Room & Board provided while in residence at Camp.

Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade.

All of our Activity Specialists build their own informal Jewish education curricula based on Jewish values and creating a connection to Israel. They teach daily 30 minute lessons to campers entering Pre-K through entering 5th grade.

Responsibilities:
• Work with the Program Director to create weekly lesson plans
• Create and execute fun, age-appropriate activities
• Engage campers and help them develop new skills
• Run 30 minute lessons daily with groups of 12-14 campers
• Incorporate Jewish values, Hebrew and/or Israel education into activities whenever possible (assistance is provided if you do not have experience in this area)

We are currently seeking specialists in the following areas: Music, Sports, Yoga, Art, Hebrew, Martial Arts, Nature, Swim/Lifeguarding

Camp runs Monday – Friday from June 24 – August 16 with a week of staff training from
June 17, 18, 20 & 23. The camp day is 8:30am – 4:00pm. Approximately 30 hours of pre-camp curriculum development.

As a member of the management team, the Associate Director reports directly to the Director, and is responsible for developing and executing our development strategy to build a culture of philanthropy, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and build a robust alumni engagement program to raise funds for Camp Seneca Lake’s capital, program, and scholarship needs.

Camp Seneca Lake (CSL) is a premier Jewish overnight summer camp set on 200+ acres on Seneca Lake in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Western New York. For over 90 summers CSL has given campers in grades 3-12 a special place to recharge, unplug, and connect to nature and friends. CSL welcomes all campers into a safe compassionate community where each child is encouraged to become their best self. Children from all backgrounds come together to learn important life skills that will stay with them through adulthood. Campers develop independence, form lifelong friendships, and a deep connection to a tight knit community that is strong at its core.

CSL is owned and operated by the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester. We are an inclusive community center and camp that welcomes campers and staff of all faiths, backgrounds, and ages. This is a full-time, year-round position. Our team includes a mix of staff based in Rochester and those who work remotely, and we are open to candidates who want to live in Rochester or be based elsewhere in driving distance of Rochester during the year. From June-August, the Associate Director of Development should expect to spend some time at camp in Penn Yan, NY, but will not be required to live at camp full-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Fundraising :

Partner with the Director and Advisory Board Development Committee to develop a cohesive development strategy including donor cultivation, direct solicitation, campaign goals, and ongoing stewardship
Own the production of fundraising marketing materials including monthly newsletter, info sheets, and digital media
Participate in regular strategy sessions with camp management team to identify and address ongoing areas of focus
Support the Director in preparing for Advisory Board meetings and partnering with Advisory Board Development Committee chairs to execute fundraising campaigns.
Own the preparation of grant proposals and necessary reporting for confirmed grants
Solicit gifts from prospective foundations, corporations, and individual donors to meet campaign goals.
Maintain CRM system for donors
Serve as a liaison to the JCC Finance team
Alumni and community engagement:

Plan and organize alumni engagement events serving as main point of contact for attendees and supporting program planning and execution
Serve as the liaison for the Alumni Committee, collaborating with the group to plan alumni gatherings in various cities
Ensure alumni database in Camp Minder is comprehensive and accurate
Work with the summer Office Manager and serve as indirect supervisor for summer Media Team, ensuring that media produced at camp can be leveraged for communications

New Country Day Camp is an 8-week, outdoor summer camp for campers in kindergarten-8th grade. NCDC operates M-F, 8am-5pm, and provides transportation for staff and campers to and from our campgrounds on Staten Island via multiple locations throughout Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. NCDC is a neurodiverse camp community, and all staff members are responsible for supporting neurodivergent and neurotypical campers and staff to have successful summers.

JOB PURPOSE

Division Supervisors will be responsible for the overall well-being of approximately 100+ campers at a time within a given age group at New Country Day Camp, which serves a population of campers entering K-8. They will also be responsible for ongoing communication with the families of their assigned age group and the supervision of the counselors within their assigned age division.

SCOPE OF INFLUENCE

Direct client group: Campers (K-8th Grade; Age assignment TBD)

Directly supervises: Counselors, Division Assistant, and any assigned Counselors-in-Training

Serves as direct contact for families in matters directly related to their camper(s)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Camper Care

Be responsible for the overall well-being of approximately 100+ campers and 20+ counselors at a time, including but not limited to physical and emotional needs

Maintain organized systems and records of camper and staff attendance, injuries, accidents, and other important information

Learn, understand, and promote camp’s mission and values (Personal Growth and Responsibility, Empathy, Respect, Passion), including our Open Tent philosophy of inclusion

Consult with leadership staff to plan and execute special weekly division-wide programming

Be present at the pool complex for swim periods and support Swim Coordinator

Logistics and Communications

Attend pre-camp meetings with families and/or staff as needed

Ensure staff/campers follow their daily schedule, guaranteeing each camp day runs smoothly

Communicate with parents as needed through the camp season, including being available via email and cell phone until 6:30pm nightly

Work with Community Engagement Manager to compile weekly division emails to families with pictures and program updates

In collaboration with the Head of Staff Care, write weekly emails to staff detailing important information for the week ahead, with an emphasis on boosting morale and maintaining a positive staff culture

Communicate and effectively partner as needed with Support Supervisors, Aquatics staff, Program staff, and NCDC leadership regarding camper needs and concerns

With Operations Manager, order supplies for division and maintain an organized inventory and balanced budget

Be responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of division shelter and surrounding area

Leadership and Staff Supervision

As a member of the NCDC Supervisory Staff, model professional behavior for campers and other staff at all times

Be present at all days of orientation, camp and staff meetings during the camp season

Create agendas and facilitate staff meetings with assigned division staff

Proactively problem solve and motivate colleagues as difficult moments present themselves throughout the camp season; encourage flexibility and understanding as means to achieve common goals

Establish and promote a commitment to the mission and vision of New Country Day Camp

Learns and implements NCDC’s restorative approach to supervision and behavior management, including regular check-ins and evaluations for supervisees

Partner respectfully with the Support Supervisor on crisis management using a Restorative Approach, working to provide the proper supports for campers within the division.

Help to interview and select candidates for Division Supervisor positions
Work with and Staff Care Manager to create and update staff trainings for direct reports and their division counselors for staff orientation beginning in June
Work with full-time camp team to develop plans for large scale events including staff orientation, pre-camp tours, pre-camp family meet and greet, Shabbat, rain days, etc.
Oversee grouping process for 800+ campers and flag for allergies, behavioral issues, and friend requests
Collaborate with Community Engagement Manager and Associate Director to update and share Family Handbook with families in the weeks leading up to camp
Be present at all Parent Camper Orientations and family events
Collaborate with various members of full-time and leadership team to create staff trainings with a specific focus on families and camper care, as well as child development, counselor job responsibilities, and working with neurodivergent campers

At Camp

Meet weekly with Division Supervisors for formal check ins, conduct daily informal check ins, and mentor them throughout the summer.
Manage completion of all Division Supervisors’ weekly tasks
Oversee communications and maintain high quality of customer service between Division staff and families during the camp season
Serve as point person for elevated camper needs and parent communication
Collaborate with Support Program Manager daily to ensure needs of all campers are met through a successful Division Supervisor and Support Supervisor partnership
Collaborate with Head of Staff Care to ensure staff are set up for success to meet camper needs

The Operations Director is a member of the summer Senior Leadership team and manages the crucial behind-the-scenes aspects of our summer camp program including all elements of daily transportation.

Responsibilities include:
