Seth Berk
Seth Berk is a dedicated camp professional with years of experience in youth leadership and summer camp management. He currently serves as the Director of Youth and Camp Simcha at Temple Solel, where he loves blending classic camp traditions with fresh, innovative ideas to keep the campers and staff smiling all summer long. Seth’s passion for Jewish camping began when he was very young at JCC camps in New Orleans. After moving to San Diego in 2019, he immediately began working at Camp Simcha in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, as a counselor. Since then, he has held a variety of leadership roles at Camp Timberlane for Boys in Wisconsin, including Disc Sports Program Director, Water Ski Program Director, Unit Head, and Steering Committee Member, managing teams of counselors and instructors while creating safe, engaging, and growth-oriented environments for campers, before finally making his return to Temple Solel in 2024. Seth combines his academic background as a Business Management and Leadership major at Loyola Marymount University with his deep love for summer camps to foster meaningful community, skill-building, and Jewish joy in every camper and staff member's experience.
