Weinberg Scholarship

Applicants must be members of a synagogue, and planning to attend Camp Ramah Darom.  We use a service called the Private School Aid Service. They analyze all the financial data from the families and give them a list of all applications ranked in financial need with their award recommendations.

Jewish Federation of Central Alabama Scholarship

Jewish Federation of Central Alabama Scholarship

Each child of a member(s) in good standing of the Jewish Federation of Central Alabama shall be eligible for financial assistance to offset the registration fee to attend an overnight Jewish Youth camp. Each camper shall be eligible for up to $500 to attend a 4 week session or $250 to attend a two-week session. Priority will be given to first time campers. All funding will be contingent upon availability of funds and budgetary constraints of any given year.  All financial awards are at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Central Alabama.

Overnight camp scholarships provide scholarships to families who cannot afford to send their children to Jewish overnight camps. We offer scholarships anywhere between $500 and $1500, depending on need.

Financial “needs-based“ awards made to Jewish overnight campers who attend Jewish, non-profit camps in the US or Canada.  Families must reside in the states of AL, AR, LA, MS, OK , TN, or TX.
Families must submit online applications that also include financial documentation. Over 300 awards made annually. Applicants are encouraged to apply early , and while they must complete the forms, they are also encouraged  to  inform the agency of any extraordinary circumstances which either limit a family’s ability to pay, or details the importance of camp to a particular child.  Families are also encouraged to seek additional aid, if needed,  from their congregation, camp, local Jewish Federation, One Happy Camper Program, Goldring Scholarship etc.

Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta

The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta’s Camp Scholarship Program helps families in metro Atlanta with the cost of camp tuition. Camp scholarships are based on financial need and are awarded by the Camp Scholarship Committee as a part of an anonymous review and allocation process. All applications and inquiries are confidential. The camp scholarship program is funded through the generosity of individual donors and grants from charitable foundations.
