Get Out Your Giggles: Laughing Yoga
In this session we will get silly and activate our afternoon with the practice of laughing yoga, which encourages each of us to embrace child-like wonder and joy.
The Play’s the Thing
In this session we will spend an hour playing at least 6 new games — and by play, we mean inclusive, high (and low) energy, and ready to be played straight out of your back-pocket at camp.
100 Blessings Walk
In this session we will use two practices — taking a walk and the Jewish custom of reciting 100 blessings every day — to slow down, take stock of our day, and reset ourselves for the rest of the day.
Oooh, That Smell: Sniffing With Intention
In this session we will learn some of what Judaism has to teach about our sense of smell (hint: it involves the soul) and will explore ways to take in a variety of scents with intentionality and gratitude. Hands-On and Noses-On.
Golda’s Kitchen Cabinet
Bring Israel into your cooking programs and consider stocking the canteen with snacks from Israel!
Eich Atem Margishim Hayom Mood Posters
These fun, colorful posters offer a great way for campers and staff to share how they’re feeling. Hang them in cabins and activity areas, use them to kick off late-night staff meetings, or bring them to one-on-one check-ins with campers.
The Piven Workshop
Elevate your arts and crafts program with a taste of Israel! Print a set of Piven’s creative Ben-Gurion portraits and display them in the dining room or any prominent place in camp.
Israeli Music Playlists
Pump up the volume in the dining room, cabins, and outdoor gathering areas around camp. These playlists bring an amazing mix of the latest Israeli music along with some classics.
Israel Resource Cards
Use these cards to enhance any Israel program! You could even tape assorted resource cards in public spaces around camp to encourage conversation. Update the display a couple of times each week.
Study Leads to Action: Crafting Activities Inspired by Jewish Texts
In this session we will: explore a process and protocol for approaching biblical texts with an orientation toward discovering the underlying values, big questions, and big ideas that can become the foundation for the next great camp activity!
