Akiva: The Jewish Camp Learning Institute
The Jewish Camp Learning Institute is a 20-month cohort program for senior overnight camp professionals that deepens their Jewish learning and equips them to strengthen Jewish life at the camps they lead.
Through five immersive seminars, Fellows learn with outstanding Jewish educators, artists-in-residence, faculty advisors, and one another through text study, creative expression, reflection, relationship-building, and practical skill development. Rather than provide an exhaustive survey of Jewish learning, Akiva offers camp leaders a meaningful foundation for continued growth as Jewish educational leaders, inspiring a lifetime of Jewish learning, leadership, and living.
Executive Leadership Institute
The Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) is Foundation for Jewish Camp’s premier fellowship for experienced camp leaders ready to lead with greater vision, purpose, and impact.
Designed for senior professionals, ELI combines executive skill development, serious Jewish thought leadership, executive coaching, and a trusted network of peers to prepare leaders for the increasingly complex challenges facing today’s Jewish camps.
Yitro Leadership Program
The Yitro Leadership Program is a strategic investment in a diverse network of high-potential, full-time, year-round professionals in middle manager roles at Jewish camps. Designed to cultivate a dynamic cohort experience, the Yitro Leadership Program equips fellows with the skills, confidence, and connections necessary to thrive in their roles and beyond.
Elevate Israel
Elevate Israel is a powerful partnership between Spertus Institute and Foundation for Jewish Camp that supports year-round camp professionals in increasing their knowledge of Israeli history, culture, and current events. This program is designed for year-round camp professionals who oversee the Israel Education portfolio at their camp and are eager to deepen their knowledge alongside a cohort of peers in similar roles. The program features a three-day intensive in-person seminar in Chicago, led by Spertus faculty, plus interactive pre- and post-seminar Zoom sessions.
