In today’s media landscape, there is a tremendous amount of literature that could help us deal with the bad things that happen in our lives. Crying it out is a popular concept, seen in everything from memes to movies. In this session, we’re going to spend some time dissecting some of the sadder things out in media in recent years, to help us grapple with the culture of “grief porn” that is so prevalent in young adult literature and movies today.
