Binding Signs
Type: Programs
Topics: Cornerstone
In the words of the Ve’ahavta prayer, we learn about binding words onto our bodies as a sign. In this session, we will explore words and signs, permanence and transience, and how we carry the core messages that define us. Through the traditional ritual practice of tefillin and through creative work with Henna (a non-permanent dye used in different cultures to illuminate the body as a kind of “text.”). *Please note that all participants will have the option, but will not be required to try both of these practices.-By Ariella Rosen & Daniel Abramson
