Small Communities Incentive Grants

Powered by One Happy Camper®, the Small Communities Incentive Program offers first* and second-year campers from small Jewish communities a unique incentive to attend the Jewish overnight camp of their choice within the 170+ camps in FJC’s network.

Eligibility Criteria for Small Communities Incentive Grants:

First* and Second-Year Grants:

  • $1,500 grant for campers enrolled for 19+ consecutive days.
  • $1,000 grant for campers enrolled for 12-18 consecutive days.
  • Must be entering grades 1st-12th (after camp).
  • Must reside in an eligible community.

*Campers who previously attended Jewish overnight camp for 11 days or less are still eligible for first-time camper grants.

The application will recognize your zip code to determine geographic eligibility. Eligible communities are determined using data from Jewish Federations of North America and are based on the greater service area of local Jewish Federations rather than individual town. To learn which Federation catchment area you are in, please visit FedFinder. Communities not served by a local Jewish Federation are typically eligible. Communities with a history of offering One Happy Camper are likely ineligible. If you are uncertain if your community is eligible, we encourage you to apply.

Additional need-based scholarship may be available directly from your camp or other local community organizations.
